Composition: Points to Ponder

point 1: simplicity.
there's no distracting elements and the sky is very clear and non distracting.

point 2:  brightness &sharpness.
the vibrant colors are shown and the lighting is calm.

point 3: rule of thirds.
the picture focuses more on the car mirror and isolates the background.

point 4: avoiding bulls eyes.
the sky is in the top and not in the very center.

point 5: emphasize foreground.
the trees and the vibrant colors are shown by placing the horizon in the upper half of the frame.

point 6: emphasize height and distance.
the sunset represents the different colors that sky can produce and the height is shown by placing the horizon in the lower half of the frame.

point 7: leading lines.
it has depth & meaning. i know the picture is blurry & the lighting is poor but the leading lines are that the train tracks keeps on going and if you look further the trees get smaller and also the sky is portrayed with different colors.

point 8: multiple subjects.
the image contains multiple objects like the tress and street signs and the cemetery headstones are shown and the sunset in the background.

Comments

  1. Image 1- Meets objective, label is correct. Colors are great. Image is clear. Angle is very odd. Try not tilting the horizon so much.

Image 2- pic is too small for me to click on an open. Please make sure your image quality is good because that is a beautiful shot but I wont be able to print it if it is too small. Has great color and composition!

Image 3-Meets objective, label correct. Great color!

Image 4- Meets objective, label correct. Color is off. Looks hazy.

Image 5- Is incorrect. Is not emphasis foreground. Horizon is not in upper half of picture. You are not "placing the camera" you are placing the horizon (where the sky meets the ground). Has great color editing.

Image 6-This label is correct and it has good color. But again, You are not "placing the camera" you are placing the horizon (where the sky meets the ground).

Image 7- Please explain how image 7 is leading lines. Where do the lines lead you? What do you mean by "depth and meaning?" Image is super blurring and lighting is poor. It's hard to take good pics in moving cars.

Image 8-Please explain what the "Multiple subjects" are. What are they? Image is very dark. It's hard to see what is in the picture.

  2. Your project would've been better if everything wasn't just sunrises and sunsets. But your pictures were good choices, and the editing choice was great for the pictures you took.
